We’re pleased to announce that One Silverstar is expanding our financial support to help our families navigate unexpected hardships. We understand that emergencies can arise at any time, and we are committed to providing you with a safety net when you need it most.
Our new financial support program can help with:
Emergency Home Repairs: Assistance for critical, unforeseen repairs that pose a health or safety risk, such as a broken furnace or a leaky roof.
Utility Assistance: Help with paying overdue utility bills (electricity, gas, or water) to prevent service disconnection.
Security Deposit and application Fees
Rental/Mortgage Arrears Assistance
Guidelines for Financial Support
To ensure we can assist as many families as possible, our support is based on a clear set of guidelines. Please review the following criteria to determine if you are eligible to apply:
Eligibility:
Our available funds are specifically earmarked for families/individuals impacted by severe weather or other natural disasters in recovery efforts. MHTF-DR funds will be utilized to quickly identify and assist households at or below 75 percent of the area median income (AMI) that have either become homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless due to severe weather or other natural disasters.
You must be an active One Silverstar family one of our programs for at least 3 months.
The head of household must attend the financial literacy workshops.
You must provide documentation of the financial hardship and the specific cost of the emergency.
Application Process:

Submit Documentation: You will be asked to provide proof of the emergency and financial hardship. This may include a recent pay stub, a utility bill, a repair estimate from a licensed contractor, or other relevant documents.
Review and Approval: Our team will review your application and documentation. We will notify you of the decision as soon as possible, typically within 5-7 business days.
