One Silverstar mission is to offer a hands up approach not just a handout by building prosperous communities through sustainable affordable housing, health, education, employment and arts. Instead of simply providing aid, the “hands-up” approach focuses on empowering individuals and communities to find sustainable solutions to their own challenges. This fosters self-reliance and long-term independence. Together, we can transform neighborhoods from blighted urban deserts into vibrant urban oases, significantly improving the lives of countless families. We are excited to partner with the Tenants Transforming Greater St. Louis organization. The mission of TENANTS TRANSFORMING GREATER ST. LOUIS (TTGSTL) is to demand safe and dignified housing for all marginalized communities. Driven by Black and queer renters who organize within their communities to achieve renters’ rights, improve health & housing quality, and implement collectively controlled land.
