Our day started out trying to go to the senior buildings to give them a boost of power charged their phones and wheelchairs one of them the power was restored the other one they put everybody in hotels which was awesome. As we were going to the next senior home we drove down kossuth we saw a group of neighbors ask them if they needed food and a power source and that’s where we have been the majority of the day. We are a remarkably resilient community that has come together in response to the crisis, providing collective support to address the diverse needs of many individuals. One Silverstar has been actively engaged in on-the-ground efforts, supplying emergency food bags, power, and other essential resources with the invaluable assistance of numerous volunteers and collaborating organizations. While viewing images of the aftermath provides some insight, directly witnessing the devastation and engaging with affected individuals has a profoundly different impact. My sincerest sympathies are extended to all those affected.
